About The Creator Gazette

The Creator Gazette covers the business of creators: the audiences they build, the formats they work in, the platforms they depend on and the numbers behind all of it.

We publish three kinds of work. Analysis pieces take a channel, an account or a trend apart with public data. Data pieces go further into a dataset we have already reported on. Explainers set out what a platform's own rules say, in the platform's own words, with links to the pages we read.

Everything on the site is written by the desk and published under the byline The Creator Gazette Staff. Figures come from public platform data, such as YouTube's Data API and public profile pages, or from official platform documentation, and each piece states when its figures were retrieved. We do not publish sponsored content, and we do not accept payment for coverage.

If we get something wrong, we correct it. Corrections are appended to the piece with a dated note and listed on the corrections page. Our full policy is on the editorial standards page.
